actor moves downwards

basically i have this ball that bounces off of an actor on the bottom of the screen, sometimes the angle is too tight on the ball and it doesnt bounce properly (another problem i'm working on) instead it just kinda rolls to the end of the bottom actor and then plummets downwards. why does it do that?

i dont have gravity set. its almost like it has some innate drive to go down

help!
