We just don't know when, but someone else pointed out somewhere on the forum, that it prob won't happen till the iPad gets GameCenter (??), so that it will work across all IOS devices via GS.
For the pro builder, GC is pretty low on the list, it's a gimmic that most people don't care about. For the novice builder, it's pretty cool and adds useful value.
I think GS needs to figure out what their largest AudiEnce is and go from there. I want GC, bu I want stability, different collision shapes, memory fixes and more actors onscreen first

Also boring, and I think it's possible. I posted a trick to make this work, but I didn't bother testing it. If I wanted to make a quiz I could probably do it with XCODE.
Wasn't there a cooking type app made with GameSalad that made well over $1000?
tshirtbooth said: With out arrays we cant make sooo many of the games we want to make. And if we can its with a BS work around that will kill performance.
Simply adding a big image kills performance in GameSalad. That's a separate issue.
tshirtbooth said: Also Commove is good but not like bejewelled SORRY!
Heh, well it's not like Mortal Kombat.
...and doesn't CodeMonkey have a demo posted? It's the same basic stuff... like what I did with Commove... invisible actors working as sensors. Maybe that's why you think Arrays are important. I don't think it's important because I already figured out a workaround.
tshirtbooth said: We can argue about this all day but a leaderboard is not better then Arrays. And if most of the people here understood what arrays could do for them, im sure they would agree.

tshirtbooth said: Im not saying i dont want a leaderboard but im saying if its gonna take 2 months to do so then arrays are way more important.
That's the point. It shouldn't take two months... not for basic support... neither should in-app purchases. Apple has implemented standards. GameSalad should fully support those standards... iAds, GameCenter, in-app purchases.
Arrays, that's tricky. How do you make that happen with the GameSalad interface? I've read what the GameSalad team has written. The general theme of the software is that it has to be easy to use. How do you easily add an array with a drag-and-drop action?
tshirtbooth said: But if it can be done its way more important. In my opinion.
If you think it's important... figure it out... or encourage others to do so! That's how you can help move it along. Just saying you want an array is not good enough. Draw up technical specs for how you imagine it should work.
If it's just sprites for an RPG, why wouldn't I use actors? (Performance is a separate issue.)
That's why I think GameCenter is more important. Apple has created the specifics. It only needs to be implemented.
Arrays would be extremely helpful, but Game Center may do more for sales if people can compete with their friends in score based games, giving them more replay value
arrays would be awesome but i'd really love it if GameSalad didnt crash at least once every hour on me. I understand its still "beta" but address those issues and fix them then give us all the other fancy bells and whistles.
but i do agree game center could help boost sales.
just help my computer not crash anymore while making a game and ill be happy.
If I just want to make a animated multiple choice quiz, I may create it online with mybuzzquiz.com. As there are many limitations for this tool, for some complicated quizzes QuizCreator would be the alternative. mybuzzquiz.com can be used to make quiz game for PS3, and the content can also be hosted online to let more people to enjoy the fun.

Arrays would be really good. based on this, we could build tile levels on a few bytes and keep building each level in the same scene.
