Check it!

I know it seems simple but it gave me fits until I really sat down and made a demo and got some real numbers to work with.

For a very brief moment I got a glimpse of what Orbz must feel like all the time!

    DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!

    FOILED AGAIN!!!!!!!!

    :)

Actually, I just tried mine in an actual game and it is not working quite right when the camera origin is not in the start position.

Does your demo take that into account? Mine doesn't. I was about to try and tackle that but I wont bother if your already has that.

    You're amazing btw!

yes, mine takes camera origin into account.

i have another version of the same example that takes camera rotation into account too, but I'm not publishing that one yet as I am still using it internally.

Also, I want to mention, that after extensive use of the "camera" to do zooming and rotation fx I like Unity much better as the camera is a real camera and I don't have to muck around with the math.

Oh come on now! You know you love to muck around with math!

    :)

No, actually, I prefer not to do any math that I don't have to do. I do the math with GS because GS doesn't do it for me.

I'm not actually a math wiz, I just do what I need to do.

Well, I know I appreciate all your contributions!

Orbz, in the camera control instance you have the origin X and Y of the camera constrained. Even with those constrains in place the camera can follow an actor?

Heh, that sounds like a quote from an '80s action flick.

Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Attack of the cerebellum."

    "I don'tz likes 'da maths!"

@Sci your project seems to be un available even tho it is set for download... I noticed this the other day... there are a bunch of projects that show in the GS shared projects browser but will not open. On gamesalad.com if you try to download the file it just saves as .html

Not sure why that is, but use ORBz's project anyways. His is WAY better.
