I Received an Email with this topic.

Hello nicolas palacios paiva,

Your subscription to GameSalad has been cancelled by Gendai Games Inc..

You will not be billed for this subscription again.

Does this Mean That I Don't have Anymore My Account? Or that it will not renew Automatically?
I have this account for like 5 month…

anyone received the same e-mail?

    I just got it as well. And I have a few months left... I am assuming this means it won't renew.

    I too, just received that email. Logged onto this site to see if there was any more information from GameSalad (as crazy as that may sound). ;)

    Lol, No, We are not in trouble!
    It Must be that It will not be automatically Renewed, because it was a Mail of PayPal, and It should be because Price Will Change.

    I just got the same email. I'm hoping it means that it will not automatically renew and that my account is still active for the remainder of my subscription. Gamesalad has proven time and time again that communication with their customer is EXTEMELY POOR!

    Just got the email as well.... I'm gonna be pissed if they try and get me to pay for another subscription when mine should not have ended until late december...

    I think it just means that it won't renew - now that they have garbage gamesalad direc any 10 year old can steal assets and make trash games to flood the app store.

    This is just another great example of how disconnected the folks at GS are from their customers and how TERRIBLE they are at communicating. Seriously guys - hire a communications expert, this is like amateur hour. It is painful to watch.

    Just received the 'subscription cancelled' email.

    I guess it is something about the automatic renew system that has been killed by the new GSdirect and the new prices.
    anyway, people at gs MUST learn a lot about customer care... I had a lot of busines with USA companies, and this is for sure the worst in customer care...

    Maybe... although it is probably better to just accept it like you would your eccentric uncle who rests his hand on your shoulder just a little to long.

Very soon, we will be announcing a new set of membership subscription options - ones that we think all of you will be very excited about, even more than our previous “Pro” and “Express” tiers. As we shift into the new system, we will be canceling auto-renewals through PayPal and Amazon.

    As a result, you may receive an email stating that your renewal payment has been canceled. Don?t worry, nothing is happening with your GameSalad account, we?re just stopping payments from going through automatically via PayPal and Amazon.

    Again, there is nothing wrong with your account. If your account was scheduled to expire in the coming days and weeks, please know that we will extend your membership until the new options are announced and made available to the GameSalad community.

    Some of you may have already canceled your renewing subscription, and if so, you can fully ignore this message.

    Thank you for your understanding and please contact us with any questions.

    It's just the auto-renew being removed so you don't get dinged at the end of the term. It looks like not many people read the fine print about the fact that it used to be an auto-magically renewing subscription...

    Deep breathes everyone. Hyperventilate when we get some details.

    I guess all is good, now that I see more than I have this email. Called GS, no answer of course, but if this is the case, a simple notification would have been a good business practice. Oh just like everything else with these folks I will wait to see what this is all about. Nice to have company though.

    The words... "over the next couple of weeks" ...are troubling. I thought there was suppose to be a change this week.

    Guys I don't understand what is the big issue here... Read the email... You all know that the subscription methods were going to change, so it obvious that the existing auto renewal should be eliminated.
    They are sending the email to let you know this is happening so when you receive the notification from paypal or amazon it doesn't take you by surprise and you get all mad because of the lack of communication.
    They are communicating what is happening... Or some of you were expecting a phone call?
    They didn't put in the forum because this is not for everyone... this is only for the people who have an actual membership.
    For me the only issue with this letter is that the changes are going to take more weeks to happen.

    well I think they sent the 'dear developer...' email only to few random email address. maybe their ISP charge 1cent for every emal...this could explain all...

    @ReM... lol... everyone have a weird uncle... and the gs guys seems to hire their customer care department from 'weird uncle inc.'... 8-D

    YEAH I'M a lucky one I received the 'dear developer' too!!! all is clear now. come on GS now is time to 0.90!!!

    Hello, all.

    I know some may be concerned about the cancellation emails that went out. It's nothing to worry about. The sky isn't falling or anything like that. We're in the process of changing around our subscription models and wanted to make sure no one was caught in the middle.

    All we've done is canceled the "auto-renewal" portion of the membership. You still have all the access you've had before. Nothing has changed, other than you're not going to automatically get charged for another year's subscription.

    The new memberships are coming very soon and if anyone's account is scheduled to terminate before that date, your account will be extended until we go live with the new subscription options.

    Thanks for understanding and I hope we didn't scare anyone too much.

    Oh well, I spoke a bit too soon, got the email from Mr. Hunt that said dont worry so I am not going to worry. They should have done this before they did the cancel part but all is good. Back to my new game.
