Difference between "Integer" and "Index"

Hello everybody,

Can someone explain me the difference between the two types "integer" and "index" ?

Index is similar to Integer, but only positive numbers are used. With an Index Attribute, -10 becomes, 0, 1.4 becomes 1 and 1.5 becomes 2.
