I've got a project idea based on a text editor for the user, and I'm hoping someone has a sample source file for a basic text editor to start with, or can point me in the right direction how to begin.

Thanks.

You mean you want the actual game/ app to have a text editor in it?

Yeah. It's an app, not a game... And it's based on a text editor... I've just got to get a decent starting point..

As far as im aware theres no way to call the keyboard up in gamesalad, so it wouldnt work. Would i would recommend is look at all the tutorials on objective -c, getting a basic understanding of it and do in xcode. I know its intimidating, but if you put your everything into to it youll catch on quick.

Editing one word, maybe ok, but there is no way to make a text editor with GS 0.89!

There is no arrays and any string funtion can use!

Exactly, sure you could make a keyboard with images and have it up on your screen taking up most the resolution and save your text attributes, but still if you want a real text editor app xcode is the way to go.
