I've got it built into my quake builder game, down loadable project in my profile. I'm sure all the rules for 'shake to quake' is in there somewhere... but not the best organised game design ever. I was learning a lot as I built the game...
Something like,
if accelerometre y > 3
or
if accelerometre y < -3
shake = activated.
