    That looks really fun!

Not sure if it would have a noticeable effect on collisions, but if you 1px 0 alpha border on your rectangular images, it would eliminate the jaggies you see when the blocks rotate...

After watching the video a third time, the more I like the concept of the players health being displayed as concentric circles. Handy to have it right there rather than some health bar hiding in a corner somewhere.

Great idea to keep the interface clean. Reminds me of the players HUD being embedded in the suit in Dead Space... only without the 3D, zombies and the repeated nightmares when I sleep.

We did want to do something like that, but unfortunately it *did* affect the collisions. They're very precise - you can miss hitting a red block by a whisker, for example, so we went for accuracy.
Thanks though for the tip - good to know for future projects!

You can blame my colleague Jake for that! He's very much into the idea of clean interfaces, and it made sense to put the lives on the player - it's what you're looking at most of the time after all!
*Edit - also, double tapping the player will take you back to the menu - so no need for another button!*

Thanks for the comments guys - we're very proud of this one :)

And for the first of a million mentions, I just wanted to thank Joe (FMG) for helping us out with the graphics and the front end. He did an awesome job and never moaned at me once for it!

    Thanks Joe - you're a total star!

    *group hug*

Fantastic work, quantumsheep! Looks and sounds great, and seems to be lots of fun!

Love the idea of the lives of the player being the concentric circles. Also like the double-tap bringing you back to the menu. You guys have thought about this a lot.

Looking forward to it coming out. Good luck with sales!

I am so, so tired right now :O

Gravitrixx is probably the last game from me to *not* have the GS splash screen on it. I wonder what will happen!??

I really want to thank you all for your massive support, not just now, but since the start really. I really am humbled by it. It's incredible.

    You guys rocketh!

I'm so pleased people like the music. I thought I was the only one! When you hear the same tune every day for over two months and *still* like it, you're either crazy or you know you've got a good track. I honestly couldn't tell anymore!

For Spectrum lovers, listen out for a respectful nod to the beautiful machine of yesteryear. On level 48, naturally ;)

So the way things are going, we're hoping for a November 22nd release date. My 40th birthday.

I will be unbearably wonderful somewhere no doubt ;)

Thank you all again for all the support and well wishes. Gravitrixx is a solid game, taken to the next level by Joe's awesome art. I'm truly honoured to have your scribbles in one of my games, Joe! ;)

My favourite part in all this is that we have a 'lite' version planned for release in December. It's name?

    Gravitrixxmas.

Christ that makes me smile every time I write/say it!

Like I said, very tired, shouldn't be writing really, but I just wanted to say I appreciated all the comments and stuff!

Thanks again everyone. I really hope you have fun playing the game!

@QS, this might finally be your big break!

Every aspect of the game looks great. The concept is great, the music is awesome, the artwork is stunning (I had a feeling Joe did the artwork). Can't wait for this one, I'm really wishing you the best of luck with it :)

Very nice QS! Like seeing original game ideas come to fruition. As a keyboardist I haven't heard of the spectrum (mostly using virtual synths these days) will check it out though. Good luck with your game.
