THE DEFINITIVE ANSWER BY GS CS: 0.9.0 NOT THIS WEEKEND

So I decided a while back to reply to the e-mail that told us our subscriptions were not going to auto renew. I did not even expect a response. But to my surprise they have been good at getting back to me. Maybe they do have one customer service person working there and that person just does not have access to the forum/blog. Who knows. Anyway, last weekend they told me straight up no 0.9.0 release over the weekend. They told me the same thing for this weekend. NOT THIS WEEKEND. While not the same as a release date, its better to know something then continuing to anticipate release on the weekend and then be disappointed. So I thought I should share.
OK, now some speculation on my part. In another post re: Austin, Yoda said they would have a booth at the Game On event in Austin on the 16th hosted by the Austin/American Statesman. I suspect since GS is local to Austin they will want to have the release out at least immediately prior to that event. Otherwise, that is a huge wasted publicity opportunity especially because Austin is the Silicon Valley of the South.

For what it's worth, my frustration just shows how much I care for GS
I agree. I would like to know what is coming for 0.9.0.
I only hope GS publishes a roadmap for us. Without knowing what GS Creator may or may not have is a nightmare, and in some cases troublesome. (ex: you plan a game for GameCenter, yet GC is not in the next couple of updates)
Com'on GS! Publish a roadmap.
Also, GS needs to do better explaining on what is what for us. Ex: what the heck is a scenegraph? (which is actually spelled scene graph) I had to look it up on Wikipedia to find out that it was actually the designer on which you place your actors on.
On Topic: Don't trust CS; they're only Customer Service. It's like asking Apple CS if they know when an Apple product is coming out, they only know what the heads "feed" them.
1) I worked in Customer Service. Without going into specifics, I knew plenty.
2) GameSalad is not exactly a large organization. I sent in a promo code through the support system, as that was the method specified by the GameSalad team on the forum. Later, one of the founders wrote back, thanking me for the promo code.
It would be easy to get angry at this point, but I suspect that the update will be next week. I've been working on my own sound project and it's taking me far longer than I thought it would. For me to get mad at GameSalad team at this point would be highly hypocritical.
Besides, I'm still having fun. Annoyed Tomatoes wasn't a huge hit, but those that played it seemed to enjoy it. By making my own video games, I'm saving a lot of money. Instead of mindlessly grinding away at some miscellaneous MMORPG, I'm doing something creative.
For those that can't publish right now, that is a frustrating situation. I am surprised that the GameSalad team would opt to disable online sales. Yet, they must have some reason to shut down the only revenue stream. If it's frustrating for us, I imagine that it must be far worse for them.
Professional is coming back. That's right... I'm probably going Pro. Soon, I'll be able to launch my master plan. All I have to do is stay cool. I think I can handle that.
Mehello.

Seems like a popular day to be born. Possibly because it's approx. 9 months after Valentine's Day :P
