Application Loader Problem

I am trying to upload an application to iTunes fro review with the Apple Application Loader. Everything works except it never seems to finish. The upload progress bar completes after hitting send but it never seems to get past the Verifying iTunes Connect application... screen. When I click on any other application I just get a spinning ball. How can I tell what might be wrong? Is this normal? How long does an upload/verification usually take? It is a very small app. Is there any way to debug the problem?

Mine just took about 45 min to upload a 7.6 mb file

it usually takes seconds, but it would seem that itunes connect is fubar right now.

Does your system lockup during the upload process?

I saw that in another thread. Never knew there was an option to compress there.

No it didn't lockup but thought maybe it wasn't working cause it took so long to start uploading

Still no luck. I have tried another machine and the App Loader locks up the entire computer every time.
