Hello There, I Release 3 GAmes now with Gs, and want to ask for Help Promoting them on internet to Take More Sales!

Where do you promote your apps? Forums, sites, etc.
Until now, I have videos on yuotube, post in TouchAracade, and Promo codes in Touch Arcade and Promo Dispenser.

Please share your sites or strategies to Make the game more popular!

Thanks!

I was also wondering a similar thing, I've done the TA thread, videos etc, doing promo codes on saturday for my new game bounty hunter, but wondered if there was anything I was missing.

If you want to spend money advertising, i was looking at buysellads.com paid $10 for 30days of a spot on a website that gets about 10,000 impressions a month or so.. so far have had 5 clicks from it. I'm also thinking of different ways of advertising -- local newsletters, online newsletters, message boards not sure what else to do without spending an arm and a leg for advertising.

This thread should probably go under the Business & Marketing forum area I would think. Have you checked there for tips and stuff?

I think it would be great if the guys @ FMG "Secret of Grisly Manor" could give us some insight....? All of us thought the selling 50k games in short order was not possible.....but alas with their awesome game it is....

You hit the nail on the head with 'their awesome game'.

At this stage in your companies development, that's the best advertising you can do. Making a game that people tell other people about is the absolute best form of marketing for people without an established name. As it stands, people are weary about buying games from people they aren't familiar with.

A lot of advertising is wearing the consumer down. After a while you become a trusted name, and people can't help but allow themselves to believe in your brand.

Ask yourself the same question. What form of advertising works on you? In most cases you'll probably say 'none'. However every so often you're swayed to try something based on prior knowledge, which is reinforced by there now being something new associated with it.

Of course Apple's help is great too, but really only if your icon makes it onto the device. Most people buy apps directly from the device they plan on playing them from.

yes...but there are a lot of "other" great games that do not sell well? So what is different here? Is it 1 review (from a friend) at a high profile site that does the trick to start the avalanche?
