Items collected menu? Any tutorials out there?

Just wondering before I start thinking about it too much myself. Are there any tutorials for a items collected menu screen. For a point and click adventure.

Tshirt I will check it out. Keep meaning to sit and look at each and every tutorial on that list, just so I can see what's out there.
App trainer, thanks I will take a look at the existing tutorial and see how I fair with that. But a video tutorial would be well received too.

GSo AppTrainer if you fancy making a tutorial that would be awesome.
Basically I want something along the lines of the menu FireMaple had in Grisly Manor. Where you find a few items (never more that 5) and are able to select them, keep them, be aware that you have them and use them (possibly combine them like in the game 'Hector').
I can see it all getting very mess with lots of game attributes.
A tutorial where maybe there are five objects in the scene, that you can select and put into your 'utility belt'. combine two of them so they make one item, and click one item (so it is highlighted) and click a door in the scene. And have the door check you have the right item and open....
Let me know any thoughts? in the mean time I've got to solve todays problem....drag left to change to a certain scene, drag right to change to another, And drag a little bit, nothing should happen... 90% working just a little bit glitchy...
