How to solve the splash screen issue

I've sent the following suggestion to GS. What do you think? I would love to hear from people like TechoDave who works with other clients. Would it work?

As you noticed the splash screen issue raised a lot of heat, especially for members who use GS to develop for their clients.

My assumption is one of the main reasons GS put the splash screen in the beginning is to make its own brand stronger. But many small businesses want the same thing - make their brands stronger.

I have 2 suggestions to resolve the issue.

1. There is a possibility to change splash screen picture but GS adds a "powered by GameSalad" in one of the corners. It could be a new membership level. Custom splash screen would be bound to member account.

2. Developer with an account described in point 1 makes apps for another company. The company wants its own splash screen. GS charges additional fee per application to give the possibility to change the splash screen. I would guess amount should be around 100 - 200 bucks. GS still has "powered by.." icon in place. Developers can charge the fee amount to their clients. And I think clients will not mind to much thus it will be just a part of the development cost.

I agree, I would use GS for client work other then the face that clients don't want to see any banding in their apps other then their own. This needs to be fixed, and I would personally invest in GS in either a Pro Account with the Splash Screen removed, or a pay per app splash screen removal/change system.

Yes Game Center, better performance, Universal Binaries would be nice, but if small companies cant build Game Salad games for their clients, because the splash screen is a barrier, this is setting us back financially and overall we will lose interest in Game Salad while the App Store and building Apps is still a hot topic for clients and small businesses.

Exactly my issue. This needs fixed. And if we are willing to pay for a fix then why cant we get GS updated?

I can also understand having the GS splash screen there because other iOS game publishers "chillingo" and so on.. have it on the apps they publish, but then the GS splash should only be added to games that are part of the new publishing option offered up called GameSalad Accelerator.

And does the "Subscribe To Topic via Email" work for anyone??

Please contact the GS team and explain the situation. I'm sure they will look at trying to help you somehow.
