edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
Been trying since 0.9.0 launch to do a build of my latest wip.
Want to test out the performance, load times, and see the new splash.

Every time it starts with the uploading game etc etc, but after 2-3 mins just throws back with the publishing server error

meh!

"The GameSalad publishing server is experiencing problems. Please try again later."

At least the new interface looks nice.

    ok.. so

It seems the software didn't have me logged on. (even though I deffo logged into it earlier)

After a bit of faffing, managed to log out, and then log in again.. and now I have just done a dev build.

incidentally... the new "sync to device" button when the build is done is a great idea.

can you describe for me you did it exactly? :)

go to the main dashboard of the new software.
    Click on "Profile"
if it shows the profile, you are deffo logged in. if it shoes the "oh noes" page, then it things you are not.

hit the logout button on the bottom right, it changes to a login button.
click it, and log in, then click your profile and see if it's showing up.

I did that, and once I was correctly logged in, the build process worked fine.

I think I found the problem: I have not an apple developer account (yet, I will order it this week :D).. So I left the provisional profile consistently blank, I was hoping to test it in the iphone simulator of xcode.. But thanks anyway! :D

so with no provisioning profile, you cant build or see your app on your iphone, cause i can leave it blacnk and it gets to the last step, it just dosnt save the .app file

I guess 'cause I had the same issue.. (it doesn't save the .app file)

ya, its seems dumb that you would have to pay $99 just to experiment on your iphone

The minute I download GameSalad 0.9.0 I attempted to do a build. Any builds that I did attempt that did not require a distribution profile worked fine. However any builds that I used a distribution profile for didn't work. It would simply start to up load when I press publish then do nothing.

Last night an official announcement was made by the GS team stating that they were having some issues with their iPhone server. It seems like this is the issue for all of us then. Should be fixed by the end of the weekend.
