Ok so I downloaded the new rev, nice new dashboard, wont adhoc a game but decided maybe the GS side server is being hammered. No problem, I can wait a bit. Then I decided I would play the new shooter game, blew up, GS quit, and instantly reported a problem. That is not a good indication of a new rev. So I went back to my present game that I am working on, ran fine, no issues that I could see and its the game is a bit intensive so I expected it to go boom. Not yet, that is a good sign.
So what it seems is that there is some UNDER THE HOOD new stuff, that we wont really see to we get games on the device for testing not the viewer, but on the real device.
I did have a bug that on a new game start the software would go south, that might have been fixed. BUT>>>>>>
People are falling all over themselves about this new rev, blowing kisses and telling GS how much they love them and blah blah blah, but there is nothing really new to this rev, thought someone said something about pause, and I see no pause.
All this work done on the dash board is real spiffy but I could care less about that.
Like the new fonts. Good.
But as for GS in general there is nothing really new.....
Other than its free, or 500 bucks.
I am not ragging on GS, I know they have their collective hands full but this is not really much of an upgrade, IMHO, it might indeed be a step in the right direction but adding better physics, more behaviors, a sort function for actors, multiple pick, stereo sound, better GS editor scroll functions, access to the keyboard, or the camera, or the GPS, or......
My point is simple, I like GS, I have made several games, and they have sold, not as good as I want but that is on me not GS, but I would pay 1000 bucks or more for a system that unlocked the power of the iOS and all the improvement that I wanted is not there. Ok so what I want is not on the top of anyones list at GS, I get that, but really this is a face lift, a new price structure and maybe a overall memory improvement, (dont know could not publish) but this is far from exciting, or any other word used by GS to describe the new software.
I could be wrong but there is not one drop of text that explains any of this new dashboard and how it works, so again, no doc, just figure it out.
Hier a tech writer to document and explain ever little thing so we dont have to have conversations on the forum about this stuff.
On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being a total out of the park, am I am elated and 1 being you got to be kidding the king has no clothes on, this rev is a 4.

I also am hoping that GS means what they say when they speak of this version being the foundation for the features that are coming in 1.0. We'll see...
you are right on the money and I agree with you 100%, or more.
maybe orbz can figure that math on that one.
