Viewer without paying apple to becoe developer

Am I understanding this correctly:

"As a GameSalad subscriber, you will receive a link to download GameSalad Viewer, the app that allows you to send a game from GameSalad directly to your device without having to create an Xcode build of it."

Does this mean that I do not have to pay apple (to become a developer) to test my game on my ipod touch?

Could someone point me to the appropriate tutorial or page?

The viewer is here under testing http://gamesalad.com/products/creator but you need to be an apple developer to run it because you need to open the viewer in xcode, change the bundle identifier to one you have set up with apple and install to your device.

they mean you don't have to create an adhoc build of your game, you can test right from within the viewer.

but you need to have the apple membership
