Any GS users here in Vancouver?

Hi,
I'm finally focusing on GS and wonder, if anyone here lives in Vancouver?
And if yes, I'd love to get together and chat for a bit :)

    If you have access to transportation and are ever in the Calgary AB area I'd love to get together with another GS'er.

    ok, if my apps make me a million bucks, i will fly you both out here :)
    i have a couple days off as some web pages are getting transferred to a fast server so I figured I'd mess 'round with GS

    I'm also wondering if I should by the PDF Handbook maybe?

    And the last concern on my mind is that since I'm only making 2D games, maybe GS is overkill?

    Any advise?

    You can learn everything about Gs over a weekend without any form of "handbook". Thats what makes Gs so awesome. =P

    I'm in Halifax, but I lived in Vancouver and lower mainland half my life. I lived in Calgary for a year too.

    You are right :) I had a hard time finding a developer who would "get" what I'm trying to produce ....
    I am a music teacher and want to port some of my flash instruments over to the apple app platform. Exciting times ahead for sure :)
    I wish there would be a little users group here in Vancouver. Enough people are working in the game related fields so I have to spread the word(s)!

    Yes, I believe that GS is perfect for me! I can't wait to get going ... today is that day. I actually don't have an iPhone so I hope that the iPad will be ok to start and who knows, maybe Santa will have something little for me this year?

    Halifax? You could not be further away from Vancouver .... so, if I make my first million, I will not fly you in for the party ;) LOL

    Used to live in Abbotsford and Mission for a bit.

    Now I'm out in Cochrane (15 minutes from Calgary where I lived for 9 years). Glad to see a lot of Canadian GSers. This is one time I wish our country wasn't so fricking large!

    And first price for being "almost in Vancouver" goes to (drum roll) Rattlehead! LOL
    Abbotsford .... that is not far from me ... too bad :(

    I really would love to collaborate with someone local because I have a lot of work ahead of me ...

    I did it the other way around, came from Calgary via Edmonton to Vancouver! :)

    Ahh I remember in my early 20's being stoned and watching the Abbotsford airshow lol. we'd sit outside the grounds so we didnt have to pay and get drunk/stoned and enjoy the show in some farmer's field. The stealth bomber actually flew over us one day..freakin crazy.
