I'm happy!

Today I setup Arcade Action the way it was intended — with advertisements. Also, in the event the player isn't online, I setup my own house advertisements to be displayed.

I have one advertisement promoting The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook
I have another promoting the Sound Effects — By Photics collection
I have another that appears if Game #5 is locked.

Another nice thing... I setup campaign tracking. I'll be able to gauge how much traffic the app sends to my website. I'll know once and for all if it's better to make paid apps or free apps. I highly suspect that free apps are better. As the main GameSalad page states... "The best things in life are free." I'm putting that saying to the test!

If my theory is true, if Free apps outperform paid apps, I'll likely be making a lot more apps!

Good luck Photics! Happy you're finally able to put all these ideas to the test since you've been waiting for so long!

No, I don't like putting templates online. But if my plan works out, I'll probably add "house ads" instructions to the marketing part of the textbook.

Heh, well, I'm keeping the paid version without advertisements.

That's a big warning to everyone. I don't recommend adding advertisements in existing paid apps. Your customers might get very angry with that.

i pay to not have the ads, which if i like the game i do rather quickly .. however even aps that are lite versions without ads would get me to buy them if i like the game. but yeah i would be wel pissed if i payed and stil had ads

Now I'm even more happy. I figured out how to upload my game. I was having some technical troubles with the Application Loader, but I fixed it. It needed an update. Heh, I hadn't uploaded a game in about a month.

It's an unusually warm day in New York City today, so I think I'll try going outside. With GameSalad Professional, I was working really hard. I'll have to remember to stop and take breaks. Heh, I almost didn't eat lunch today. I was working for about seven hours straight.
