The new GS splash too long only white

I have built an AdHoc version of my game and I saw the new splash screen the first time.

Even if the loading seems to be faster, than in previous versions and even if I could live with this logo very well (ok, I was a bit harsh the other day without knowing, how it really looks... sorry), I don't like that my app starts with a white screen, which remains there 1-2 seconds before the animated logo showing up (3G with iOS 4.1).

First I thought, there is something wrong with the build and it crashed or something.

I don't think, that this is a good thing.
I assume, it is white until the animation is fully loaded, but I would say, you rather add something to that white page and maybe get rid of the animation at all (even if it looks nice).

The still image with the logo in previous versions was better. If you change it back to that, everybody is happy, because it loads probably faster and you still get your 2 seconds of fame.

    I strongly agree.
And on the older devices it stays longer than 1-2 seconds. Much longer. And most of the people think it is crashed and restart the app as reflex....

Thanks for posting this issue. We've passed it on to our dev team and they're looking into it. The splash animation should not be delayed in starting, especially by a full 1-2 seconds. Again, thanks for pointing this out and we hope to have this resolved soon.

Also, try tilting your device a little while it loads so you see it from a side view. You'll notice that when the animation comes in its not in the same layer as the white background

Why don't they just make us all happy and give us custom splash!

Thanks for looking into it Yodapollo.
I am happy that it was not your full intention, but just a minor bug.

Yes, I also recognized the rotation if the app is tilted slightly.

Maybe it should check the app's orientation on load and fix on that.

oh, btw: Even if I said, I can live with it, I still think, you should reconsider your pricing strategy and give us 3 different plans, where pro for 499 is without GS splash, but with custom splash.

It also doesn't rotate to my set orientation on my 3gs at least. It stays portrait even though my game is set to landscape left.
