Hello, this is a pretty simple question.

Do you make money from putting iAds in your app?

Thanks.

    Morning,
Actually Yodapolla answered this for me yesterday.

I asked where do the iads (advertisements) come from, apple servers
or do you insert your own and how much do you make.. here is his response.
    ----------------------------------------------

iAds simply makes a call to Apple's servers to provide an iAd. The current payment rate for iAds is $0.01 for an iAd that shows up, and $2.00 if someone clicks on the banner. Apple currently takes 40% of this payment, leaving you with 60%. So, essentially, you are being paid $0.006 per view and $1.20 per click

    have a good one.

To go further into this, only because i'm curious how it works. So if an individual clicks on the iAd, you the developer make $1.20 or something like that, just for them clicking on the add? Now, is it based on total # of clicks on the ad, or is it how many total devices? So for me, i've got two ipods and i'm getting an iPhone 4 in January. I'll have 3 Apple devices, if I were to put the same game on all three devices, would the developer make $3.60 if I clicked on the same iAd on my devices? Or would it be how many times I click on the iAd, so I could keep tapping the iAd and make the developer a thousand dollars in five hours?

I ask because I really haven't got a clue how that works.

    Thank you.

    Lol they are not stupid.
For example with google ads if they see that someone click you adds several times they think you are scamming and if you have bad luck they don't give you a single penny, so take care.

In the world of internet marketing everything comes down to view (download) and click.

For every click you get the money.

They surely have some tracking system, so if it is obvious that somebody is tapping on advertisements extensively, they won't pay. I wouldn't try it.

One of my Google AdSense accounts were closed, because friends of mine were clicking on the banners on my site. I didn't ask them to do that, they wanted to help me.

They probably also track IPs and UDIDs and such, so don't even think about trying to cheat the system.

On the other hand, when AdMob was not in Google's hand yet, they faked 100% of the clicks I was paying for.

BTW: I have a concept for a browser game, which would pretty much revolutionize the internet marketing, I just have not enough money to make it... yet.

If I can realize it some day, iAd and Google can kiss me where no sun shines. :-P

Prodigio, if you are serious, contact me at hunnenkoenig@3dmagicbox.com

It's a project which would cost about $200.000 with 6-12 months of development.

I have no exact numbers from top of my head, but we have a business plan :-)
