In my game, I have a section at the end where the player has to shoot baddie cars. I put down on itunes connect that it had mild fantasy violence because of this.

It made my game for 9 years or over, but I don't think its bad, so wondering whether to put the update through without marking the mild violence box.

Do you think I'd be ok with this or do you think shooting cars would class as violent enough to warrant the rating?

Cheers

no i think you need to add the +9 rating to it. apple can take away your app publishing ability. you gotta think super conservative when publishing with apple.

in platform games that would be T for teen. yeah it might not seem so outrageous but its better to be safe then sorry. besides i bet 80% of parents don't put restrictions on there kids ipod touches. let alone know how to work them.

also you can put in your description *rated +9 for shooting baddie cars* that way it gives the parent an idea of what is going on in the game. better to be safe then sorry.

Cheers, I came to the same conclusion, although apple wouldn't have seen shooting the cars when reviewing otherwise they would have realised the shoot button didn't work! probably could have got away with it!haha.

I only realised it after release when I downloaded the released version from the app store. Its caused by the game importing an attribute which is usually used to save your gun level, but due to the value being blank it loads a 0, which isn't a valid level!haha.

The update has been waiting for review since the day 0.9 came out. luckily it is at the end of the game so hopefully people wont get there until the update is out! no reviews have pointed it out yet anyway!
