Hi,
i just watched tshirtbooth's youtube video on how to install the gs viewer but ether i am missing something or, things are different with an ipad (my only device) or, the new version works slightly different?

Anyone installed yet and if yes, what tut did you use?

Thanks :)

i havnt installed it, but i would just go threw the video again and make sure you have everything the right way, and try looking closly at some steps because if his tutorial is on how to do it on an iphone then you may need to change some things, i also did hear the new version was slightly diffrent, you could also try looking around the forums if the search is working

the plst file is in a different location. Its under the shared resources folder when you open the project in x-code.

    thanks guys!
It would be amazing if I could get the viewer working ... my wife is getting suspicious if that game ever sees the light of day!

Also, I've read on another post that you have to be signed in to GS ... which I wasn't when I tried to follow the video

Tomorrow is a new day :)

OK, I followed tshirtbooth's video tut on youtube but can only produce the steps just before hitting the build button. Build fails ....
By the looks of it, part of the confusion is about the i have the latest iOS SDK installed but the ipad (for a few more days) runs on 3.2.2 or something like that.
Crating apps in flash is over all much easier but i can say that after two days of trying to get this going, I have to look for an alternate route because I am loosing too much time.

Any word from GS when a proper tutorial is coming? Without documentation, GS is just like blender ... :(

Ouch, I just noticed that X Code displays: "Base SDK Missing"!
How can that be? I've installed it earlier this afternoon?

Has anyone managed to get GS viewer on an iPad working?

    Last,
after taking a good look at this, I think that I should look for another application since my apps are not games but basic music lessons as we use them at the school. I have already working prototypes made with SwishMax so maybe there are better ways to do this?

i don't think that the documentation needed to use the software is coming any time soon and unfortunately, I can not afford to waste time searching the endless google loop ...

Any suggestions on other software that is simpler and more complete would be greatly appreciated!

    thanks :)

If you are seeing base sdk missing in Xcode then you might not have the latest version of Xcode and sdk installed. It must be the latest to be able to build for 4.1 or 4.2.

    Hello.

I had the "Base SDK Missing" problem. The project is looking for the 4.1 version and you want to use the 4.2.1 (latest).

Open the project properties and look for one of the options where it says 4.1 and change it to the latest.
Remember you need to do this on both Debug and Release configuration to work on both.

After that it should build correctly assuming everything else is setup properly like the bundle thing.

My viewer is already on the device but first test didn't properly sent the game into the viewer. I had to stop so only tonight I'll try to make it work again.
