Someone recently posted about GS's new splash screen and the video codec settings used and how to crack the splash scene.

Anyway what interests me more is that, that now means GS can play video ! Whether this will ever be Behaviour that we the user will be able to use remains to be seen.

That would be a great behavior (play video)
But no news about that at the moment...

How to you want to crack the splash screen and why?

well i dont know if its video. it could be a image sequence that happens to have sound effects on it. like a large animated 20 frame sprite. wouldn't be hard to do this

i wouldn't be to sure. if it was video you would have control on how to play it. it would be quick time based and you would see a quick glimps of the Q logo

I seen the video control for a short time.. (with blue bar, >>, <<, etc...) So i can tell, that's a video

it is an m4v video. open the app file (right click and "show package content") after receiving it from GS and you will see. You can play it in iTunes as a video by clicking on it.

Annoyed Tomatoes has a short video. I just used the animate behavior and synced it with the audio.

Sure, but it would be nice to have the option to import a video file.
