Wow 8.9 use to crash but I was able to work for 5 minutes without a crash. This one is unbelievable. I am sorry to say it but I just feel that we got our Beatles with this update...

Ya it is really annoying, I think that during developing chuzlies, GS crashed on me at least 150 times.

As of right now for every change that I make, I have to hit save. Some times that is not even enough.

I saved like a bitch all the way though. The worry is that it may crash during a save, rendering your whole project corrupted. I also made it a practice to backup the gamesalad project file every hour or so just in case. It really takes the fun out of developing :/

I seriously cant work like this. Not only because you loose a lot of work every time it crashes but also and more important, because it crashes while its saving and like you say InfuseDreams, the game may end up being corrupted.
I think that this forced vacations that I will have to make for my own sanity are the perfect excuse for my to start learning some other stuff that I put on hold because of all the projects that I had started already with GS.
Its time to learn how to brew...
    Have a nice holidays everyone.

The back button is one of the main causes now, and also switching scenes whilst previewing the game

I'm on the same system as sebmacfly except mine's a 24" iMac with the 2.66 processor and I can report no crashes at all since working with .9 (although still the sloooooowdown).

My is slow too... it's due to the iMac...

Ok, when it all started I was trying to uncheck the visibility of some actors.

Is the game file one made in .8.9, LordT? Lots of others have had problems there when running it in .9, though I don't suppose that's any consolation for you to hear...

This may or may not work, but try saving your project as a new file So blablabla file name in new location such as the desktop. restart game salad and start working in that file.

This seems to fix that exact problem. tho i went a step further and reinstalled game salad since it takes about 60 seconds :)

this way you have a totally new copy made by GS .9 :)

Yes it is. Do you think or suggest that I should start from the begging using GS .9? Is that the case it will not be a problem because I not that far from the begging. I will be a lot but not as much as dealing with the crashes.
