Can I move an actor in smaller increments than one nudge?

I am trying to position an image on screen which needs to line up exactly with another image but nudging it once to the left moves it too far and nudging it once to the right moves it too far right.
Is there a way to move an asset in smaller increments?

Well, as nudging with the arrow keys nudges the smallest amount there is, i.e 1 pixel at a time, all I can think is your two images you're trying to align aren't the same size...in other words, you should be able to use nudge successfully to line up stuff.

Also you can go into the actor, and manually change the actors X and Y position there. Here you can change the actors position by 0.2, 0.3, 0.4,0.5 etc pixels away from the other actor. If you want a smaller distance then that you can also make it 0.0001 pixels away, 0.00000000000001, 0.022789567, etc........

Your gonna want to make sure all of your image sizes are setup correctly if you are going to position on tenths of a pixel

    Thanks guys,
my images are good because a, they were already used for production and b, I cropped them with "snap to grid" on. Flash had no problem positioning them but I can see that one "nudge" travels quite a bit!

I found a google article where other GS users discussed this and followed their recommendation to set graphics properties to fixed but still ... no go.
So I have two choices then. Ether re render everyone of the 8 images or, as artonskyblue suggested tweak with XY positions.
Because I have the feeling that I will get quite a bit of milage out of this game, I have decided to re render but this time, don't cut the images up.

It's still a small app because say each image is about 60kb which adds up to .5 MEG and all the seven sounds combined are about the same so the whole app would be one med. Should do, right?

Sounds good to me! Personally I wouldn't touch any positions for screen less than whole numbers. If any are smaller, GS will put them to the nearest pixel anyway (or if it doesn't you'll surely get blur). My advice is to always round up all dimensions and position co-ords to whole numbers.

    :-)

    yeah, you are right :)

Basically, I wanted to keep the file size as small as possible and cutting up the images to only what is seen would have been best ...
than again, i might be able to do that in an update if it is an issue

I should have most of the UI done today :)
