Is developing an application for iPad only a bad idea?

Hi gang,
I am in the finishing stages of publishing my iPad app and have doubts about releasing an iPad only version!

If anyone could shed some light on this, it would help me to avoid a potential mistake!
I must read a few articles that stated that the income from iAds is very small for new publishers like I will be so I'll ask for a little bit of money but since there are sooooooo many iPhones out there, I really would love to know what you guys think and how you do this?

Will the game play be as fun on a small scale. If not then I'd say keep it iPad
