is it just me who is confused to where 'Pause' went?
along with the other features that were promised. I really don't want to build a new game until there is some new toys to play with, I feel like I've pushed GS as far as I can with games like Ground Control. The animation on that took countless days alone. and I had to start pulling frames out to make it run better.
Is this it? GS direct, thats all we get?

you can work longer in it, with having to re-open gamesalad every 10 minutes, (now its like every 30 minutes).
Pro for express users is cheap at the moment, so you get some new toys that way. Unless you were already pro, in which case you've lost a toy. (custom splash screen).
Either way, just get on with making your next game, you no you'll enjoy it once you start...
Pause is still on its way in the future...
But ye know what I mean...!? Bit like, this is what we'll give you, but we'll not give you it for ages and we won't tell you when either.
personally I think we could all guess they would add pause and other promised features, but at least tell us when.
Its a bit of a pain to be honest. I like using GS but I'm frustrated that games are getting bad reviews due to lack of features. When the game concept and execution is as good as its gonna get with current features.

...getting an answer to your question... very cool. very cool indeed.
Like any tool, you have to play to it's strengths, and play away from it's weeknesses.
You only need to look at Joe (Firemaple games) Grisly Manor game to see that a top selling, good review getting game is totally possible using GS.
Pause will be cool, but (imo) a little pointless since multitasking in IOS was introduced.
I'd much rather see Game Centre, and-or facebook/twitter posting. Those are the things, at the mo, that can help keep a game in your punter's minds, and keep them playing.
From a technical point of view, getting new box2D features would be great. Polygon collision boxes, and joints for example.
Terrific news from Yodapollo, thanks; also to you tollhousestudio for asking the question!

Since I've started playing to GS's strengths, older devices have come back into the picture for me (at least for *some* games). Having a pause feature would be helpful in those circumstances!

I agree with the other features that are more important, game centre etc, I only made the point of pause cos they sent out a blog that was heavily promoting it.
Thats all.
I don't blame GS for bad reviews and what not but with a lack of features you are always gonna get some wee punk leaving a 1 star review saying " jeez no pause button" and because thats such a standard function in any game! then people think you as a programmer is crap, so they don't bother. I know I would be sceptical if a game was missing standard features to their ability to make the game brilliant.
very true.
I guess it all depends on the type of game etc.
Many of the negative reviews I have had, have been either performance based, or not being able to have some kind of online scoring.
Would of course be great to have it all.....but then again, it's sometimes easy to forget that, we get what we get, and without writing a single line of "traditional code".
Any chance you can give us an estimate on when will 0.9.1 be available ?
