GS viewer on the iPad stimulator

How exactly do i get the new GS viewer running on the iPad stimulator to communicate with GS? I have it running on the iPad stimulator but GS will not recognize it. GS does recognize my iPod. If i install GS viewer in the iPod or iPhone stimulator, that works but when i switch to iPad it either wont install or it installs and launches but won't communicate with GS.
