Hey guys, I had a idea about making money with iads, okay here's my idea so we could have a group of people with iads in their game say a group of 20 or more. So here

A group of 20 people click on each of the people game so here's the example

Say ,, 20 people TIMES JUST 1 click on all the 20 apps.

So every one in the group would make 20$ a day, and that $600 a month just from iads.

It's just a theory not sure if anyone wants to be in the group.

Anyone think this is a good idea. If anyone wants to participate just leave their email and your app name that has the iads in it.

Thanks

you cant do it daily because apple will get mad at you and take away all your money and close your account and in extreme cases sue you!

Well this is a good example of how to get banned from iads. I don't want to piss off the big apple. If you do this with google adsense you would get banned in a heart beat however I don't know how strict iads is but I don't like cheating the system.

Yes $600 extra a month seems nice however wow apple is going to see something wrong when they see you getting almost 90% ctr

I am really glad to see how many ethical people are here in this forum and rejected the idea! :)

Not to mention how many of you have even seen an ad on your own game? I kept mine on for an hour and played and should have invoked a possible ad some 90+ times but I never saw even 1. Why do I feel apple is only dishing out ads to big name games

    EDIT:

Don't mind. Just woke up. Misunderstood the topic and made a complete senseless comment to the topic :-P

I'm stunned how in this case it could ever be deemed fraud. You're simply clicking on an ad. I could click on an ad every day in someones app; anyones app - I'm I being fraudulent?

Surely encouraging your fellow gamesaladers to purchase your app or writing a good review is the same thing...

Why so many scared of the "big" Apple....?

We're very small fish in a very big pond. Do you really think Apple care about our very minor actions? I think its a great idea.... let go for it!

As both a developer and advertiser comments like these really make me wish you lose your apple developer account. How would you like it if you spent $500 or $5000 on an ad campaign, only to have a group of 20 people who had no intention of buying your app use up all the clicks? The whole purpose of advertising is to get your brand out there, not so some losers can make a quick buck.

If i knew your apple dev account name, Id be repotting you right now.

    Oh please....

We're talking about a drop in the ocean here.... and a fun experiment.

The reality is that is bloody hard to make ANY money developing apps. The App store is an amazing opportunity and yet the chances of success are slim....

I quite agree with the sentiment of designing fantastic apps. Giving the customer good value for money etc. BUT this can prove to be irrelevant. In all likelihood your app will slip through the net. Never get any exposure. And no one will buy it.

It can be quite soul destroying. BUT we all love it... the development, the buzz of a new release.... that 1:1000 chance of success....

I think Kirks original suggestion is an interesting one.... a fun and daft one....

    Enough of the moralising...

    And lighten up...

Chances of retiring off one app might be slim, but making money isnt slim at all if you know what your doing smartone . If you need money that bad that your gonna do this, ill hire you to pick up the dog poop in my yard :)

    Guys....

I think these comments are getting a little out of hand here...JohnPapiomitis, I don't mean to offend...

I'm not a lazy piece of ****. I work bloody hard at my apps..... Kirk presented an interesting idea. That I too thought was intriguing.....

    Lets agree to disagree.

Your more then entitled to your opion, but its been provin by the wiki post above that its a felony in most places. As redicoulous as it might sound to you, that means you can get it more trouble doing this then selling drugs. There for if the law views that kinda person as the same kind as a drug dealer, then i will as well. That fact the your trying to defend this kinda of behavior is what pisses me off.

This is very unethical. and not mention most likely a violation of you iAds TOS. Most ad programs have specific rules about clicking your own ads or arranging for your ads to be clicked.

Doing something like that is clearly unethical. There's just no excuse for it.

You wanna' make money? Go and make a really good fricken' game, and do it the ethical way.

Reading this type of stuff is just beyond annoying, can we delete this thread please?

I think the majority of us can agree this is unethical, and it's embarrassing to have a thread like this in GS.
