Is it safe to assume that the next version of the iPad will be higher resolution

I'm building an iPad game and I'm trying to be forward thinking. Do I need to worry about making my graphics a larger size in order to be clear and crisp when they update the iPad? What would you do?

Do you know the future iPad screen size?

If no : Don't worry about the graphic size, do it for your actual iPad...

If yes : So you can do that

I've actually been a little worried about this myself,I'm not sure about higher displays. There were rumors that they were going to have different sizes with the current being the largest version, so there might be smaller ones with resolutions smaller 1024x768 possibly.

Hmm, maybe GamersRejoice wasn't talking about the physical iPad size i.e screen size as sebmacfly mentioned but whether or not the size at the moment will have Retina Display, like the iP 4 has. I was wondering that myself.

Ya that's what I meant, sorry I wasn't clear enough. I guess I could just double the size of my design file and that way if they do come out with the retina display it wouldn't require any re-doing of the artwork. So basically 2048x1536

heard the same rumour... tricky. I guess any graphics you make in photoshop or similar make them double the size for future reuse...
