Hello there...

Ok, my App update has just been approved by apple
(Crazy Labyrinth HD v1.4)

I please you to test iAd (in the main menu) and URL (in "more games" and "gift picture")

    Hey Sebmacfly I downloaded your app and tried the links and they don't work. I also am not seeing any iADS in the main menu. Otherwise very nice on the the iPad! Great job!

    Oh...one more thing...when you go to the gift box area there is no way to get back to the game. I have to kill the app and restart.

    Yes I am in the U.S. Since the link isn't working you get stuck in the gift area.

    So I am now wondering if ALL uses of the URL behavior will not work in our apps? This isn't good. I sure hope there is a fix soon!

    Just tried Chaser's Gumball Copter and the links out to other apps is working so hopefully the URL problem isn't an app wide problem. In another thread someone mentioned making sure you are using http:// and not itms//

    I think its time Yoda or one of the other head chefs pitched in with an ETA on what the problems are with the 0.9.0 build regarding all the publishing and Pro feature issues.

    Ive seen Quantumsheep hinting at some sort of fix/updated that could be imminent, but we really need an official response here.

    Is it going to be over the next day or so...or are we talking a week or 2?

    Im sat here with a build ready to submit to the appstore... and would like to publish, knowing that my links etc are still going to work. I can hold off for a day or 2 if I know an update is happening in that time, but dont really want to risk leaving it much longer than that.

    From the sounds of it Im not the only person sat wondering if its safe to submit.....

    The URL is defffinely a problem that needs to be fixed, but as far as the ads not showing up gs probably should have made it clear that just cause you bought pro your not guaranteed any ads will show in your apps. Thats all apple.

    @Sebmacfly did you test your URL links on a published build on the device before submitting to Apple?

    Im just asking as my links work fine on my adhoc build Im testing on 3 devices... so wondering if its getting screwed up in the appstore build, or if like greg mentions above if it might only be a limited issue...

    I agree, someone needs to address the community. I don't care if all they say is "we understand there might be a problem and are looking into it" but this is no way to run a business. I'm new to GameSalad, started using it two weeks ago today, and there are a laundry list of things I am willing to accept (for example the fact that the GameSalad Creator is good for about 5-10 minutes before slowing to a crawl and eventually crashing). I can get past that because it's a beta and those sorts of issues will be worked out over time. It's also not a show stopper if I can restart the creator and continue working.

    What I can't get past is that the only two PRO features are iAds and Links, and so far not a single person has successfully stated they have an app made with GameSalad that has ever displayed an iAd within their application, and people using links are having extremely mixed results.

    Yes, apple decides what apps get ads, but this seems like too striking of an issue to ignore, and without someone at GameSalad saying "hey, we checked into it, everything is normal and once apple starts feeding you ads it'll work" then this issue will fester, because we can't see inside the code and confirm it for ourselves.

    This lack of communication is simply unacceptable from any company. I wouldn't even expect this poor of a level of service from someone that's running this organization out of his or her parents' basement.

    I'm glad to have read Yoda's response on a different post (http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=13781). This at least means 1) an issue is more or less confirmed by the ads not being requested from the app and 2) GS is now aware via a bug report.

    I have been holding off on publishing anything to the app store while I wait for the show-stopping issues to be worked out or get some type of solid confirmation that both links and ads in a published (app store) build work for someone. Or even just a response from GS that says "We just ran an internal test, we know it works if you do it right" would give me some confidence.

    Just a thought, do you need to login to your Pro Account before you publish ?

    Meaning I'm so use to quitting and restarting GS Creator that sometimes I don't login and may have published not being logged in.

    ( I'm not seeing iAds but also my URL link is not working either )

    Are sure about not use itms? I uses that and it works in my adHoc test.
