Trouble using "Gravity" and "Move" at the same time.

I set the scene's gravity to 500 and am using the "move" behaviour to control the games character. The problem is that when the character is moving left or right it overrides the gravity. Is there a way to have the character fall even when he's moving?

Thanks.

dont use move. Use change velocity, change attribute linear.velocity, or use accelerate.

Eh, thanks for the suggestions but all those solutions make the character seem like hes running on ice. He keeps sliding even after you let go of the controls.

Change the friction on the actor and the ground actor, its in physics attributes, keep making the numbers bigger till its how you want it.

I tend to never use scene gravity. Instead I put acceleration down on the main actor, and use linear velocity to control jumping and walking. On the controls you just need a rule that sets the velocity to zero when theres no movement buttons being pressed
