Hi all,

I am looking to create a scrolling background image. Unfortunately, when I try to move a background actor, it very quickly moves off the screen, leaving me with no background.

Is there a way to loop the scrolling background like the old Flinstones cartoon

    Thanks for you Video,

I've tried it, I only want my background scrolls. For some reason, all my other actors scroll as well, although I put them all in a different layer and they are not scrollable, any idea? Please help

    Thanks,
    Maryam

4d frog, that logo looks so familiar. Is that a Cinema 4d demo?

4D frog, just checking you have actors in a non scrollable layer...good.

And you are panning along the scene using the camera?

Yes, that's my cinema 4D tutorial and also the icon of my game, Monster Fart!

    @stormystudio

I have some in scrollable layer and some other on non scrollable, but either they are all scroll or all not scroll.
    I do not have camera.
I only want my BG layer to scroll forever.

I have a scrollable character that is my BG. It scrolls the way I want it after editing the x speed but the last bit of the actor pops out and leaves a black line just before exiting the screen. Any reason why it would do this?

    Thanks

Sorry if hi has been in a more recent thread. I did a search and this is the one that came at the top so I thought it would be a good place to start. I'll take a look at the one mentioned by jon.

P.S Just wanted to say a great job on the tutorials tshirtbooth. They help so much! Thanks :)

Jon, this thread is still relevant. Stop closing threads that are still useful.

We want to keep the forums clean and to have people open new topics for something that is already running and relevant dos not help.

    cheers

the 'new' reply was only related to the original post in subject, not in content. if people keep tossing their new questions into answered threads they will not only not be difficult to find, but they also won't get as many replies. when people see populated threads, they skip right over it.

people should not be bumping old threads with new questions period. they should be starting a new one and reference the old thread if necessary, which is about 20% of the time.
