A few questions about "display text"

Hey guys, just wondering if it would be possible to do a few things with the "display text" functionality.

- Change color of a single word or groups of words within a single text field (like having some kind of tag before and after a word as you could do in html)

- Add and package a (free to use) font to the game instead of having to use one of the default 14 fonts

- Fade a block of text in and out with the interpolate behavior (without just putting some kind of blocky overlay over it and fading that)

Now, I realize you could do all this stuff by just putting the text on an image. But this is assuming that a game is filled with text and it would be unrealistic to do so. For similar reasons I'd also like to avoid appending a bunch of different variables together to form a line to do the color thing.

Glad i read that as i didn't know about the new fonts we used to have 5 if i remember.

Regarding your Q's I'm really not sure tbh.

But I'm sure someone will give you an answer soon.

    Darren.

Hi madmassey: answer is no to all three questions unfortunately; or as they say "not at this time". Maybe Display Text will become more sophisticated as the betas roll on, but have to wait and see, I guess.
