Locking behaviors into a prototype?

Is there a way to lock a set of user-created behaviors on an actor into the prototype? So, when I place down an actor and edit that instance of the actor separately, only one of my created behaviors could be edited. That way you could easily change the behaviors of an actor you have placed in multiple scenes but each one slightly different. (A text box, for instance)

This isn't strictly necessary since I can use global variables to tweak settings most of the time, but I'm just curious I guess.

Hi madmassey, yes, that's all built into GS via the Prototype actors and Instances of Prototypes. So you could put your main Ruling into the prototype, then each one you drag into your scene, as long as you press the lock to make it an instance of the Prototype, it becomes it's own actor, changing whatever you want in the Ruling. You can even give it a different name if you like (BaddieA, then BaddieB for another Instance with slighly amended Rules, as an example).

    :-)
