HELP Please - Center background image in scene?

This is most likely an easy question to answer, but...

I have background images that are 960x640 at 326ppi (iPhone 4). I can't seem to get them to center in my scene. There is always a small black line one one or two ends of the screen when I preview my game. Is there an easy way to fix this problem?

I zoom in real close, adjust the image one pixel at a time with the arrow keys, but with no luck.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much.

Try clicking on the background and changing the POSITION of the background to:

    X: 240
    Y: 160

That will perfectly center your image. :)

Darn! No luck. That left me with a black line at the top. Any other suggestions?

    Thank you.

Hi MLC, that's the correct way as Josh said. If you've still got a black line, there's the possibility that one of your dimensions is 1 pixel too short; or possibly, that you haven't used Save For Web when saving the image.

OK, thank you. I will have to check these out. I know they were saved using save for web and devices, but I will check the dimensions.

    Thank you.

Do they have to be PNG 24? Will PNG 8 work (saving size).

Are my scenes supposed to be the size of my images or are they supposed to be 480x320?

    WOW! I'm confused.

Got it. I was clicking on the actor and not the actor in the scene.

    THANK YOU!

LOL! Sometimes a little trial and error is the best teacher!

Good luck MLC on your projects. :)
