Gradient problem

Does anyone have a problem with the gradients?
I'm exporting a gradient for my background and the gradient is not smooth at all....the project is using resolution independence, gradient is created in photoshop, using the right color profile. On the screen the gradient looks alright - I have this issue only when I'm testing in the GS viewer.
What should I do?
