Resolution Independence on Ipad. Bad Quality...

Hello.
I created a new project for iphone, and used hi-res graphics, example, the backgroud is 960x640, and all the graphics are double the size of the actor.
I think it should run better on the ipad, due to the fact the 960x640 is very close to the ipad resolution.
thanks

I assume the ipad uses the Retina display graphics.
Maybe it looks bad because you have stretched it to fit iPad dimensions or it's not 72dpi.
Darren.
or does it just play like a blocky 2x scaled up iPhone game
WHen starting new projects, I'm just deciding weather to the graphics big or small.
Here's a question: Does resolution independence slow down gameplay
if it's running on older iPhones? Should I worry about such things.
maybe I'll repost this as another thread
If you use retina art for iphone just drag that back into your actors and they will double in size and be good to go.
The only art we normally change for iPad is the background sizes.
Darren.
ONLY check RI for iPhone games!

and it's NOT as I would have expected.
(just because something SEEMS to "make sense" doesn't mean the hardware supports it! ha ha )
I care about iPad because that's what I have,
but most others have phones, so I guess I'll just say "forget RI" for the moment.
I keep hoping they will enable iPad VGA out - I have some cool graphics to project!
for my 2 cents, Utopian - I don't know you that well, but
don't leave the forum entirely! Just "scale back" your participation for a while
if it takes too much time.
people on internet forums can be ...jerks.
They type mean things because they don't have to look a person in the face when doing it.
I do a lot of YouTube, they are simply rediculous there on the comments.
But ultimately it IS worth it, always stay positive! ;-)
