images blurry in preview

I've been using Acorn and Photoshop to create images, and when I upload them into the preview area of GameSalad, they appear much more blurry than they should. The inspector to the left shows the images crisp and fine, but placing in the game seems to degrade the quality. I'm saving them as .PNGs, and Tiffs didn't even work.
I'm using pixel-art for the game, so crisp images are nearly essential. Hoping if someone can tell me if the game-preview window just messes with the images, or what I should be doing differently. Thanks guys! Happy weekend.
