accelrometer playing sound

so i'm working on my first app. when you swing the iphone it makes a sound. but i cant figure out how to do it. HELP

when acceloremeter is > or < then whatever you want play sound.

Sorry im at class, i can make a demo later and explain alot better if someone doesnt do it first.
