does your game crash on device with multiple apps running

having spent a long time reworking my shooter to avoid crashing on the device, i noticed something this morning when it started to crash again for no reason I could work out. I powered off my iPad and restarted the game and it did not crash.

Now, I thought iOS was designed to swap out inactive apps from memory when memory was required for applications running so my concern now is that we are at the mercy of GS trying to run along side other iOS apps and not fail.

If you are finding your app has stable memory usage, i.e. does not creep up during the scene and it does crash after a few hundred seconds then try a device power off/on.

Just so you know you cant put anything at all about a reboot in the app. Example you cant say if app crashes simply restart device anywhere, not desciption for itunes or anywhere in app. THere was a big discussion on iphonedevsdk about this so i figured i would let you know.

    Cheers
