cleaning up the stickies

I know many of you agree with me that we have way too many stickies, and when a new one is added, most people miss it. We also have a lot of redundancy.

I'm thinking of moving the DEMOS and Tutorials section to the Wiki, and update the FAQ sticky to link that. I'm also going to make sure the Official GameSalad Cookbook Video Tutorials section is in the Wiki, and unsticky that one. That should help.

I'm also thinking of unsticking the GS .9 release / GS accelerator thread because it's been over a month since both were announced. I think that information would be better stuck in the wiki

I would like to see a sticky of the most asked questions with answers. It should be closed so only you guys can post to it but have all of the daily repeat questions posted there with the most common answers.
Some examples would be Profile Editing, Custom Splash Screen, upgrading to pro now what (i'm even guilty of this one but I did legitimately search the forum just found no answers that worked), Why my .app file never saves to the computer, will someone make me a template of a game with all the levels already built, Etc...

Then since the search function is not the best people can at least look in there before posting the same question everyday. With the influx of new users to likely continue these questions will surely continue as well.

Oh and I know people don't ask everyday for full game template but I do remember one post along those lines and really thought it was funny

Oh and I would like to tutorials to stay or at least a link the youtube channel they are on. however the sticky is nice since TSB can give a description of each tutorial in his posts.

see, most of that information is better suited for the wiki, it's useful to keep at the top, but with so many stickeys many go unnoticed.

but I'm game with whatever people want to do, I just want to reduce the clutter.

Im all for reducing the clutter. I do think the mini-cannon sweepstakes with all of 3 posts and the accelerator and 0.9 release posts should definitely be pulled down. but the problem with the wiki is none of these new people look at it. even for the basics. So I really think there needs to be rules like search the forum and wiki before posting or we are just going to tell you to look there, or have a catchall pot with the basic questions and answers Those could be added to the FAQ but I don't think ppl really even look at the FAQ stickies on most forums either
