GSViewer on iPhone has bug that doesn't appear on in-editor preview

I'm having this strange issue where everything works as it should in the Gamesalad preview window... but then when I put the game on my iPhone 3G (or my original model iPhone) through GSViewer, I run into a game breaking bug with the system I'm making.

Have you guys ever run into anything like that? Without getting bogged down in the specifics of this particular problem, have you ever had Game.Variables or Self.Variables update correctly in one but not the other?

My first thought is that it's some sort of performance based thing... like, my Mac with the faster processor has time to do something that the iPhones don't. But that just doesn't make sense... this bug is very consistently reproducible and is behaving like a logical error would. So my working theory is that the iPhone isn't initializing some global or actor-specific variables correctly.

The viewer sometimes has bugs like that try doing an adhoc build and see if it still does it. And yes some things will react differently between devices, Preview mode, GS Viewer, and adhoc builds. adhocs will be the best way for final testing but you still need to test on as many devices as you can with adhoc. My game plays different on iphone 3g and iphone 4 even with the app store build.
