Anyone ever used this site to view ranks and reviews looks as though you can view all country reviews for free as well as rankings.

Another reason I ask is After dumping all the rest of my promo codes yesterday it shows my US rank has shot up to 325 in strategy.

I read on the forum here that people say the promo codes don't affect your rank anymore so I m just curious if this site is even accurate.

I use AppAnnie which allows me to do the same thing.

I also bought AppViz which downloads all the reports to my computer so I can track it as well.

Well I've messed with this today and it seems to match up with most of what appannie says and it gives you reviews from all countries on the same page without having to search. Kinda looks like its accurate. Says all data is pulled from the app store instead of a calculation. Although it has an option to pay extra to get hourly rankings. not sure how that would work without calculation since I was under assumption itunes only reported once a day.

Ranks are constantly changing, and sites like AppFigures and Applyzer allow you to get hourly rankings. Sales data only comes in once a day.

So what exactly determines your rank? or is that an Apple secret?

in each category, your number of units sold compared to everyone else's number of units sold.

There's also a top grossing rank as well, which is how much money you've made vs. other people, but that is not displayed on the phone itself. Only number of units sold is shown.

Promo codes used to count towards grossing ranks, but Apple recently changed it.

People were gaming the system by charging 200$ for their app, sending out 50 promo codes, once the 50 codes were used changing the app back to .99 cents. It would make it seem like they just sold 10,000$ worth of apps.

I'm not certain if promo codes affect number of units sold anymore or not. They used to.

I believe they affect the unit sold rank since dumping 15 codes yesterday 14 of which where redeemed in US store brought me up to the like 450 in puzzle and 360's for strategy. and I had dropped below 1000 for both I believe. This is according to APPLyzer so that partly why I was asking if they are credible.
