I am finally finished with my first game - a Casino Dice game . It is made for the iPad.
It works ! I am amazed. Time for fine tuning.
How does this performance measure up?

you want to reduce everything, especially your images. How are they created? what kind / dpi / bit depth?

Most images were made in Photoshop - but I have several 25 frame animations that were done in 3D Studio Max.
These images were saved at 960 pix X 640 pix at 72 dpi and then I sized them down in GS to 1/2 that size.

I wanted hi resolution images and they really show up that way.

I am not a graphic designer - thoughts - help?

Heres what the performance is like with the animations out.

I would suggest cutting the length of the frame animations to between 5-10 for a start. Also I would make sure that little things such as un-ticking the moveable box for non-moving object. If you want I could take a look at the project?

I wouldnt. Suggest anyhanges yet. Sometimes it's better to keep quality over size.wifi is accessible every where these days and besides when someone wants an app they will ind a way to get it with or without wifi. Sure having a max if 20 mb game is good. But really? If u use that same rule for all ur games they will be limited. Some of my games are more than 50mb. But I explain in the info "high quality soundtrack. Gorgeous retina display graphics. Etc etc". Ofcourse u shouldn't claim this unless it's true. But by describing it this way (if this is the reason why the games is so large) it gives the buyer an idea why the large files size. Dont limit ur creativity. If u can reduce size then go ahead. But if it's gonna obliterate ur quality or vision I say it's not worth it. Go with your idea. Keep it top notch. Stay committed. And think affirmatively positive. KNOW and be confident that ur app will succeed.
