On regular weeks, which days is the best one to release?

A couple of questions...

Are any days have more activity compared to others?
Should we aim to the high activity days and compete with a lot of other releases or try to sneak-in in the low volume days?

    I have heard thursday is the best day for release read it on some developers who's games are quite popular. Though the weekend/friday probably has the most releases.

    But if you release on Thursday, on Friday you are pushed down on the list... so maybe if you release late on Friday you will be on the first page for the weekend?
