I just browsed to see what's shakin' in Apple land and found a few cool things that make my life a little easier!

I downloaded Translator Free (so that I can understand what reviews I am getting from non English speaking countries and Backup Lite which hopefully makes file synchronization between between my backup drives and computer a no brainer :)

What did you guys fetch?

p.s. Cheetah3D is also available. I use that app for all my rendering jobs :)

How is Cheetah3D? Have you tried animating yet?

    Thanks.

When I switched to the iMac (about a year ago) I needed a non expensive 3D solution and Cheetah3D exceeded my exceptions!
I don't do much animations anymore because i don't have the time but they have a good forum just like this one over at http://cheetah3d.com/forum

    ciao :)

Thanks for the link. I'm glad to hear that.
    Cheetah is like a mini-3DS-Max.

    I like that: "mini 3ds"

Once in a while, the app goes on sale for $69.99 but now that it is moving towards version 6, plus, it's availability in the app store, the $149 will probably stick for a while.
Still, considering what it does and the fact the Cinema4D is about 10x the cost, it's a great bargain!

    Everything else, costs between $3500 - $10000

If I had money like I don't, Houdini http://sidefx.com would be great to have as well but .....
