Hello there my name is Jordan and i only found out and started messing around with GS a day or two ago.
I kind of have no idea where to start i have been watching a few tutorials on youtube but my question is

Where is the best place for me to start learning the basics?
I have a look though the help section here on the website, but i was just wondering what do you recommend for a complete beginner?

I would really like to get into casual / indie developing seriously mainly for the iPad but also the iPhone, So i thought i would introduce myself to community and say hi.

Thank you for our time reading this, Any help what so ever is very much appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Jordan (AcrezHD)

Hi, welcome Jordan. I would suggest going through the GameSalad youtube page as they have lots of different videos and highlight some good areas to start. Read the forums as often as you can as you'll learn loads from here. Have fun, take your time, maybe start with a few demo projects to get the basics down, dig in and if you get stuck, just ask, this is a great community and someone will be on hand to answer.

The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook might be helpful to you. I wrote it with the intention of making it even easier to use GameSalad. It explains how to create an iOS app from the concept stage, through development and then publishing it on the iTunes App Store.

It also has a great Math section!

It's also available as an app...

I agree with Bogarza. But Gamesalad is easy enough to learn that once you have the basics down, it's mostly a matter of using it and going on the forums to see how people solved some of their problems there. Welcome to the community, and good luck with your game-making.

Welcome to the forum and the very addictive world of GameSalad.

I recommend jumping in feet first and making a simple game/app...nothing much, just enough to learn the basics, also recommend 'Photics' Unofficial GameSalad book, it really is very professionally put together, easy to read and will teach a load of info from simple how to move something, to complicated Maths that saves a tonne of effort.
