Thought I'd get an idea of process' people take when working on their GS games.
Do you plan it meticulously or just dive in.
Do you go by a particular order.
What resources do you use.

Also I'm working on my first project and am a little stumped as to where to start and what comes next.

I get an idea first, then use blank square in GS to see how it plays and if the gameplay is actually addictive. If the game works with squares, it'll work even better with great art. If your game isn't great, not worth doing the artwork.

Me and my partner brainstorm a few things first and try and get excited about the project then bounce ideas off each other with a notepad, then do the boring square build, test-play it, get on with the artwork, finish all the artwork then rebuild the game with the art and finally do all the levels.

That's the way I do it, not sure about other people?
