Teens and money

Those of you who are at a young age, around from 10-25, do you think templates and graphic packs and such are worth the money? Like I know they are worth the money if this is something dead serious you are doing but as a hobby are they? Or should I be spending my money on teen things instead of templates and stuff for an app. I am a teen, I have bought a template before(never a graphic pack because i enjoy using illustrator) and there are a couple others i like but are they worth their price? for a young adult. I only have like 200$ and there are other things in the world I want but what keeps popping into my mind is if I spend the money and the time to make a good app, I could get my money back easily. So I am a little on both sides. Please comment for help IF YOU DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE A TEMPLATE UP FOR SALE. Thanks.

If you are using it to learn that go for it but be careful what you buy you do not want to buy a template just to take one look at it and be like well I wont use that ever.
If you need any help recreating the templates I will trade you for some graphics

If you are serious, I would actually take you up on that. send me a message to my GS account for my email. I really don't want to give it away to the forum. And I have only been working with Gs since the end of december but working with illustrator for 2-3 years. So if you are serious let me know. Thanks

I am also a teen and I have been using this program for more than a year so for me it depends on the template and the type of game or app I am making at that moment.
If the template fits your type of app you're making then sure buy the template.

thanks. I am not that experienced, I do know a good amount about GS but not the things that are outstanding and things that take a while to figure out. I like making apps with GS but I just don't want to regret buying. thanks again.

Things is, if you buy a template just to replace the graphics and resell it, you learn nothing at all.
My suggestions is, look at templates not as the final product, but looking to learn the logic behind it.
Then, if you ask yourself "how is that done?" and you can't come up with a way to do it, maybe buying a template would be the right thing to do. If not, then there's not really a need for that.
Obviously, it depends on your budget. I ask 40$ (30€) for mine, and I know that those are a lot of money (at least for me , but for the work that I'm putting into it, and as I really need some money lately, I couldn't ask any less.
This is why I like the GS forums. lol. Again thanks to you all. I will email you. Again thanks!

gamesalad is actually VERY simple. but just like everything else in life, u have to learn it... save ur money and buya drawing tablet (if u need one) or something idk... i think the included templates should suffice.
